Michelle Obama made a splash south of the border today, reports the AP, launching her first official trip on her own as she landed in Mexico City last night after a day of touring quake-ravaged Haiti. Obama's two-day stay in Mexico's capital will focus primarily on youth, with the majority of her public time spent with youth in schools and universities. The first lady's visit highlights relations between the two allies; the White House just announced its second state dinner, on May 19, will honor Mexico.
