Stocks closed higher on Wall Street Friday but still wound up with a weekly loss, ending a four-week winning streak. The S&P 500 index rose 22 points to 2,664, the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 183 points to 24,737, and the Nasdaq added 91 points to 7,164, per the AP. Technology and industrial stocks wound up with the biggest gains. Apple climbed 3.3% and Boeing added 1.7%. Retailers, energy companies, and makers of basic materials all did better than the broader market. Those industries and stocks tend to do better when economic growth improves. Starbucks jumped 3.6% after reporting strong sales. (More stock market stories.)
