Hot Tub Argument Ends With Chunk of Guy's Ear Bitten Off
Bryan David Boyack   (Davis County Jail)

Utah police say two men who had been chatting in a hot tub got into an "extremely heated" (no pun intended?) argument that ended with one man biting off a piece of the other man's ear, Fox News reports. Bryan David Boyack, 43, lives in California and was visiting family in North Salt Lake at the time, KSL reports. The alleged victim, the owner of the home where the incident took place, works for a large banking company; Boyack allegedly got a little tipsy and took issue with that fact, police say.

As the conversation revolving around "big corporations" and "conspiracy theories" got more intense, the homeowner locked Boyack out of the house; Boyack then allegedly began whacking the house with patio furniture until the man came out to tell him to stop. At that point, police say, Boyack attacked the homeowner, holding him to the ground and chomping off a "large chunk" of his ear. Boyack allegedly then fled the scene in his truck, but ultimately turned himself in and was booked into jail Tuesday around noon. He faces charges of mayhem, criminal mischief, intoxication, and domestic violence in the presence of a child. (More weird crimes stories.)
