Talk about getting government—and courts—off our backs ... Rand Paul declared ObamaCare "unconstitutional" again tonight, despite what the Supreme Court has ruled. "When the Supreme Court upheld Obamacare, the first words out of my mouth were: I still think it is unconstitutional! The leftwing blogs were merciless. I still think it's unconstitutional!" Paul declared at the Republican National Convention. What to do? Elect Mitt Romney, he urged: "How do we fix this travesty of justice? There’s only one option left. We have to have a new president!"

The Libertarian torchbearer heir extolled the virtues of private enterprise over government, declaring: "The great and abiding lesson of American history, particularly the Cold War, is that the engine of capitalism—the individual—is mightier than any collective." Paul became the umpteenth GOP speaker to point to a destitute immigrant ancestor who pulled himself up by his bootstraps. "My great grandfather, like many, came to this country in search of the American Dream," he recounted. "No sooner had he stepped off the boat than his father died. He arrived in Pittsburgh as a teenager with nothing, not a penny. He found the American Dream: not great wealth, but a bit of property in a new land that gave him hope for his children," who became "doctors, ministers, accountants, and professors," and in the case of Paul's dad, Ron Paul, a presidential candidate.
