Protesters Await Arizona Gov at White House

Protesters will be gathered outside the White House today as Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer meets with President Obama, raging against the "discriminatory Arizona law" combating illegal immigration and "President Obama's halfhearted leadership on immigration reform." Of course, Brewer and Obama are hardly allies on the issue—the White House is hoping to legally challenge the controversial law, while Brewer is raising money to defend it, the AP reports.

In an interview yesterday, Brewer said she hoped she and Obama could agree on solutions to improve border security. Obama plans to deploy up to 1,200 National Guard troops to protect the border, but Brewer wants to know how that'll affect Arizona, and she wants more than that as well, including helicopters, surveillance drones, and a completed border fence.
