Forensics experts are examining a suitcase filled with tools found near the suspected remains of murdered hookers linked to a British "Jack the Ripper" scholar. Stephen Griffiths, 40, who dubbed himself the ''Crossbow Cannibal" last week in court, has been charged with the dismemberment murder of 3 prostitutes in Yorkshire, and is linked to at at least 3 other missing women. Remains of one of the prostitutes have been positively identified in the River Aire in West Yorkshire, where divers also uncovered the black suitcase.
Griffiths, a criminology student at Bradford University, boasted to neighbors he was getting a doctorate "in Jack the Ripper" and referred to himself as a "demon" on his Facebook page. Police are also excavating areas around Griffiths' Bradford apartment building, reports the Telegraph.
