Take that, Cleveland!

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim fans set a world record last night for, we kid you not, “the largest gathering of people wearing fleece blankets.” Yes, Guinness actually keeps track of this—an adjudicator was on hand to certify the occasion. The Angels accomplished the oh-so-impressive feat by handing out promotional Hideki Matsui Snuggies to every fan in attendance, as a way to keep attendance up for the second game of the year.

The previous record was set by the Cleveland Cavaliers earlier this year. But they managed to get a mere 17,758 fans to don the blanket with sleeves—the Angels had a crowd of around 43,510. “A new record has been set for sure,” the adjudicator tells the Orange County Register, “though I will have to review video and photo evidence to come up with an exact count.” (More Snuggie stories.)
