Glenn Beck appeared to take great pleasure in responding to James Cameron’s rant last night, even donning 3D glasses for the occasion. Beck acknowledged, “I did call James Cameron the Antichrist, but only because of the Celine Dion song. Horrific, really.” But that’s not entirely true, writes Steven Zeitchik in the Los Angeles Times—the "joke" was spurred by Cameron announcing a documentary alleging to disprove Jesus’ resurrection, so “he was attacking Cameron's research and beliefs.”
Beck went on to address Cameron’s issues with people who don’t accept global warming as fact: “He's upset with you because you're a global warming denier,” he said to the audience, referring to Cameron’s desire to “shoot it out with those boneheads.” But 79% of Americans “aren’t convinced greenhouse gases are the most important factor in the planet’s warming,” Beck said, bursting into fake sobs. “Why must you kill all of them? Why must you kill all of them?”
