Microsoft Employees Disguise Their iPhones

If Microsoft executives want a reminder of how they've been trumped by Apple in the mobile business, they need only look around at their own employees. Chances are, they'll see quite a few iPhones in use, reports the Wall Street Journal. Insiders say 10,000 Microsoft workers used their iPhones to access the company's email system, a figure that represents about 10% of the total workforce.

CEO Steve Ballmer and other top execs are obviously not happy about the issue, and one employee tells the Journal that it's fairly common to see people disguise their iPhones around the office. No specific rules prohibit using one at the Redmond headquarters, but the company recently modified its policy on reimbursing cellphone service fees. Only those that run on Windows Phone software need apply.
