Beck Complains About Softball Questions for Sotomayor ...

... except nobody asked nominee any yesterday

Someone might need to explain this whole confirmation-hearings process to Glenn Beck. Last night, the Fox host railed against the softball questions senators were tossing Sonia Sotomayor. “As our country burns to the ground, this is the questioning—and get ready, it’s a hard line of questioning” the Supreme Court nominee was getting, Beck raged. One problem, notes the Huffington Post: Questioning doesn’t start until today.

Yesterday was exclusively for opening statements, but Beck proved his point with a montage of Democrats praising Sotomayor, and—gasp!—not asking her any questions. Though Democrats can probably be expected to like their own nominee, Beck saved special wrath for Republican Lindsay Graham, who predicted Sotomayor would sail through confirmation, barring "a total meltdown": Does anybody remember when Lindsay Graham wasn't a worm?"
