Early-Morning Dog Walks Fall to ... Michelle

Turns out the first daughters are a lot like kids everywhere, People reports. “Even though the kids are supposed to do a lot of the work, I’m still up at 5:15am taking my dog out,” Michelle Obama told a group of congressional spouses yesterday. “So for everyone who has a child asking for a puppy—you have to want the dog.” So does she? “I do. I love my Bo.”

The first family is normal in other ways, too: “Yes, I’m on a soccer field all day just like many of you,” Michelle said of her Saturdays. “And we’re shuttling kids back and forth to play dates, just like usual.” (More Michelle Obama stories.)
