Some conservatives can't get into the spirit of unity for the inauguration

Washington will be swimming in champagne for the inauguration Tuesday, but some conservatives are warning merrymakers to stop drinking the Obama Kool-Aid, Politico reports. “While we’re sitting around the campfire and trying to sing Kumbaya, our country is slipping away from us,” said one. Another predicted, “The first time Obama uses the bathroom, Newsweek will do a five-page spread.”

Referencing the nation’s problems, Tom DeLay said that if Obama were “serious” about changing Washington, he would forgo the lavish festivities and say, “I'm going to have a nice little chicken dinner, and we'll save the $125 million.” One conservative shared some advice for politicos: “You can take a sip of Kool-Aid. But on Jan. 21, let's get back to business.”
