The buzz over the possibility of Caroline Kennedy succeeding Hillary Clinton in the Senate is getting louder. A Democratic source tells ABC that she's considering accepting the appointment after being approached by New York Gov. David Paterson. Kennedy took on a high-profile role during the Obama campaign, and the president-elect is a big fan.

The official line from Obama is that he has spoken to neither Kennedy nor Paterson about the appointment. Robert Kennedy Jr., meanwhile, has already said he's not interested in the position his father once held, and he suggested that his cousin "would be the perfect choice if she would agree to it."
