With inauguration approaching, Washington is gripped by an all-important question, the New York Daily News reports: Where will Barack Obama play basketball? Will he keep his campaign promise to build a court in the White House? Will he play at a nearby military base? Or, as rumor has it, hit the glass-enclosed court at the upscale gym where Condoleezza Rice works out?

“I have sworn that we’re taking out the bowling alley in the White House and we’re putting in a basketball court,” Obama said in October, campaigning in hoops-crazed Indiana. Obama is famously terrible at bowling, but his basketball reputation is sterling. “He does have game,” said Sen. Bob Casey. “He takes it seriously, and he likes to handle the ball, and, sure, he likes to shoot.” (More Barack Obama stories.)
