Clinton Backers Push for Convention Nomination

A group of Hillary Clinton's delegates are working to make sure their candidate's name is put up for nomination at the Democratic convention, the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Clinton backers say the symbolic move will serve as recognition for the 18 million voters who chose Hillary in the primaries, and whose votes will be vital in November.

Some Barack Obama supporters think the Clintons are already getting enough attention at the convention, but Hillary backers believe nomination is a fair reward after the hard-fought campaign. Many are angered by reports Obama is resisting a roll-call vote. "Since 1884, we've had a roll-call vote," said a Texas Clinton delegate. "It's a nominating convention, not a coronation."
