A museum in Scotland decided to let the public choose its new name—and it isn't going to be Museum McMuseumface. After a period in which the public was invited to submit names and vote on the suggestions, the new museum in Perth will be called Perth Museum, the Guardian reports. A museum spokesperson says the name was the runaway favorite with 60% of the vote, beating possibilities including the Sparkling Museum of Perth and the Victoria Drummond Museum. "It may seem like the obvious choice, but we wanted to hear from the people of Perth and Kinross, from people old and young, from all corners and they spoke out loud with more than 450 submitting ideas, so we listened," the spokesperson says, per the National.

The new museum will house artifacts including the ancient Stone of Scone, also known as the Stone of Destiny, which was used in the coronation of Scottish kings and queens for centuries and will be taken to Westminster Abbey for the coronation of King Charles III next year. The BBC notes that the museum might be relieved that the public didn't choose a more colorful name. In 2016, the public voted overwhelmingly in favor of naming a British Antarctic survey vessel Boaty McBoatface, a name that ended up being used for a remotely operated undersea craft instead of the boat itself. In 2007, when Greenpeace launched an online poll to name a humpback whale it was tracking, the winner was Mr. Splashy Pants. (More Scotland stories.)
