Only one more state to go. The AP on Friday called the state of North Carolina for Trump, leaving Georgia as the only state yet to be uncalled. (Other outlets, including the Washington Post, have called Georgia for Biden, but Newser is going by AP.) Trump’s victory in North Carolina brings him to 232 electoral votes. Biden, who was declared the winner of the overall election on Nov. 7, has 290 electoral votes and defeated Trump by flipping Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Arizona. Georgia, which is currently conducting a recount, would put Biden at 306 electoral votes. Trump continues to challenge the outcome in the battleground states.
