Kate Middleton has revealed one of Prince Louis' first words: "Mary." As part of a BBC Christmas special, the Duchess of Cambridge worked with celebrity chef Mary Berry to prepare for a charity event and made clear she isn't the only royal fan. "One of Louis' first words was Mary, because right at his height are all my cooking books in the kitchen," she said on A Berry Royal Christmas. "Your faces are all over your cooking books and he would say 'That's Mary Berry,'" she went on, adding the 19-month-old prince "would definitely recognize you if he saw you today." Kate said she cooks with all three of her children, including George, 6, and Charlotte, 4, who are particularly fond of Berry's pizza recipe.

"I really enjoy it … for them to be creative, for them to try and be as independent as possible with it," Kate said, noting the family grows its own vegetables. "We've got carrots, beans, beetroot—a massive favorite—Louis absolutely loves beetroot," she said, per People, prompting Berry to make a beetroot and chocolate cake. Prince William, who also appeared, told the former judge on The Great British Bake Off that his late mother, Princess Diana, influenced his parenting style. She knew it was important "that you realize that life happens beyond palace walls, and that you see real people struggling with real issues," he said, saying that of George and Charlotte, "whenever we see someone who is sleeping rough on the street … I point it out and I explain."
