Joe Biden called an Iowa voter a "damn liar" and challenged him to a push-up contest during an angry exchange Thursday. Biden lashed out at the man, who identified himself as an 83-year-old non-Republican retired farmer, after he accused him of sending son Hunter Biden to work for a Ukrainian gas company and of "selling access to the president" during the Obama administration, Politico reports. "You’re a damn liar, man. That’s not true. And no one has ever said that," Biden told the man during the exchange in the small town of New Hampton, which was a stop on the former vice president's "No Malarkey" bus tour of the state.

After the voter said he didn't say Biden had done anything wrong, Biden yelled: "You said I set up my son to work on an oil company. Isn't that what you said? Get your words straight, Jack!" Biden, 77, also took issue with the man's suggestion that he is too old to run for president, NPR reports. "Let’s do push-ups together here, man. Let’s run," he said, to applause from the friendly crowd. "Let’s do whatever you want to do. Let’s take an IQ test." The audience booed the farmer after he told Biden he didn't have "any more backbone than Trump does." When he said he wasn't voting for Biden, the candidate said: "You're too old to vote for me." Biden later denied that he had lost his cool, telling a reporter: "I didn’t lose my temper. What I wanted to do was shut this down." (More Joe Biden stories.)
