Biden Pushes His Latino Website. One Problem

Joe Biden's campaign has a new initiative to reach Latino voters called Todos Con Biden, or All for Biden. This week, the candidate talked it up and encouraged people to check out the website of that name. But ABC News points out a monumental oversight: Even as Biden was promoting the website, his campaign failed to secure the domain name—and the Trump 2020 campaign got it first. So now when people visit TodosConBiden.com, they get a message in English and Spanish saying, "Oops, Joe Forgot About Latinos," along with a link to Trump's Latino site.

It gets worse. The Biden campaign also failed to lock up the Twitter handle and Facebook name for the slogan, allowing Trump 2020 to grab those, too. They're being used to highlight Biden gaffes, including his line that "poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids." Team Biden is denouncing the Trump move as "childish," but Matt Novak at Gizmodo thinks the finger-pointing is going in the wrong direction. "Forgetting to register a domain is an embarrassing oversight for the Biden campaign, which seems to be stuck in the 1990s in just about every respect." (More Joe Biden 2020 stories.)
