A Bear Got Stuck in a Car. A 'Butt-Shift' Set the Car Rolling

Colorado officials had a bear of a problem on the Fourth of July, but luckily one that resulted in no injuries. Per the Denver Post and the Denver Channel, the Boulder County Sheriff's Office put up a Facebook post Friday to serve as "a good reminder to keep your car doors locked, especially in bear country." The post notes that a "delinquent bear" made its way into an unlocked car and then got stuck when the door closed behind it. As it frantically tried to get out, it apparently "butt-shifted" the car into neutral, and the vehicle went rolling 100 feet down a hill. "The four legged suspect swiped a tree, rendering the car undrivable, but in the process popped a door open, and fled on foot ... er, on paws in an unknown direction," said the post, which included a pic of the torn-apart car.
