On the last day of Pride Month, rapper Lil Nas X, who shot to fame with the viral hit "Old Town Road," appears to have revealed that he is a member of the LGBT community. "some of y’all already know, some of y’all don’t care, some of y’all not gone fwm [f--- with me] no more. but before this month ends i want y’all to listen closely to c7osure," he tweeted, along with a rainbow emoji. As Page Six notes, the song includes lyrics like "This is what I gotta do, can’t be regrettin’ when I’m old" and "True say, I want and I need to let go, use my time to be free." The rapper later tweeted pictures of the rainbow building featured on his album cover, adding, "deadass thought i made it obvious."

But he has yet to get much more specific than that, replying to one tweet that said the rapper "came out as guy" with simply, "it’s true i am a guy." As a result, quite a few headlines include words like "seemingly" or "apparently"; Inside Edition went with this: "Lil Nas X Might Have Come Out as Gay in a Series of Cryptic Social Media Posts." (And the site specifically points to an Instagram post from the rapper yesterday that he captioned, "just cuz i’m gay don’t mean i’m gay.") But CNN's headline counters, "Lil Nas X's Pride tweets mean exactly what most people think they do," citing a source who confirms the rapper is gay. TMZ's sources say the same, telling the gossip site the rapper was "tired of being closeted." (Pride parades held Sunday all commemorated this 1969 event.)
