An inflammatory quote that reportedly came from Nancy Pelosi about President Trump had the president hitting back Thursday. The original remark: "I don't want to see him impeached, I want to see him in prison," the House speaker supposedly said in a closed-door meeting this week, sources said to be "familiar with the meeting" told Politico. A Pelosi rep wouldn't confirm or deny the comment, per CNN and USA Today. Trump, however, was asked about it Thursday during an interview with Fox News' Laura Ingraham, taped in Normandy, France, where the president was attending a D-Day event. "I think she's a disgrace," he said of Pelosi.

"I don't think she's a talented person. I've tried to be nice to her because I would have liked to have gotten some deals done. She's incapable of doing deals." He added: "She's a nasty, vindictive, horrible person." Trump then went on the attack against the San Francisco district under Pelosi's purview. "It's the most disgusting thing what she's allowed to happen ... with needles, with drug addicts, with people living in the middle of the streets," he said. "She ought to focus on that because she's a disaster." Pelosi, who was also in Normandy for the commemoration of D-Day, didn't have much of a response. "I don't talk about the president while I'm out of the country. That's my principle," she said. (On Monday, Trump was asked whether he thought Meghan Markle is nasty.)
