A West Point cadet is dead after a tactical vehicle overturned during a training exercise early Thursday. The incident involving a Light Medium Tactical Vehicle, in which another 20 cadets and two soldiers were injured, occurred around 6:45am on a dirt road at the Camp Natural Bridge training site, not far from the main campus located along the Hudson River in New York, USA Today reports. CNN notes cadets receive training in combat operations in their second summer at the academy, which thanked emergency responders in a tweet. "The injured have been transported to local hospitals," another tweet read. In a statement, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said he'd direct the Office of Emergency Management "to provide any resources necessary." (More West Point stories.)
