One hundred pounds of a hard-to-find Panamanian coffee was recently auctioned off to buyers worldwide, and just one company in the US got its hands on 10 pounds of it. Now, per KGO, Klatch Coffee, with one shop in San Francisco and several more scattered throughout Southern California, will be letting its customers sample the exclusive Elida Geisha 803 while it lasts, but it won't come cheap: The new alleged record-holder for the most expensive coffee will cost $75 a cup.

Co-owner Bo Thiara explains what makes this Kopi Luwak variety of java, which costs about $1,200 a pound after it's roasted, so unique: Cat-like mammals are given the coffee beans to eat, and the beans are recaptured once the creatures poop them out. "It's by far better than any of the coffee that you hear about that comes from animals," he says. One thing interested parties should avoid doing if they get their hands on a cup: throwing in cream and sugar. "It would be a waste of $75," Thiara say, per CNN. (A similar type of pricey coffee involves elephant poop.)
