After much "will he or won't he," Joe Biden will finally put the question of his 2020 candidacy to bed with a "yes, I will," reports the Atlantic, which says the former vice president will make his announcement via video on Wednesday. NBC News also reports that Biden will enter the race next week, though it doesn't specify a day. Biden was spotted filming in Scranton, Pa., on April 4 in what CNN described as a "clue" to his intentions. Indeed, the Atlantic reports the announcement video will include footage shot outside Biden's old family home there.

Some wondered if recent accusations of inappropriate behavior with women would end Biden's candidacy before it even started, but Biden is seen in some Democratic circles as the only candidate capable of defeating the progressive Bernie Sanders with a more centrist message, per the Atlantic. Biden, 76, would become the oldest president at the time of his election if he won, as would Sanders, 77. (President Trump saw this coming.)
