Democrats might as well forget about President Trump's tax returns, his acting chief of staff said Sunday. They'll "never" see the returns, Mick Mulvaney said, "nor should they." He made the statement on Fox News Sunday, the AP reports. The way Mulvaney sees it, the issue was decided in the 2016 election. "Voters knew the president could have given his tax returns," he said, per Politico. "They knew that he didn’t, and they elected him anyway." Past presidential candidates have released the documents, but Trump repeated last week that he won't do that. A House committee has asked the IRS to turn over Trump's personal and business returns by Wednesday. (More Trump tax return stories.)
