President Trump is going after a familiar target over new allegations regarding the Robert Mueller report. The New York Times reported that members of Mueller's team are unhappy with the attorney general's summary of their work, suggesting that the full report is more damning to the president than William Barr has suggested. The Washington Post followed up with a story along similar lines. On Thursday, Trump went after the Times in particular. “The New York Times had no legitimate sources, which would be totally illegal, concerning the Mueller Report," he tweeted. "In fact, they probably had no sources at all! They are a Fake News paper who have already been forced to apologize for their incorrect and very bad reporting on me!”

The newspaper shot back with a tweet of its own: “False. Our reporters interviewed multiple government officials and others to gather the facts for the story." The Justice Department, meanwhile, defended Barr's decision to release a four-page summary of conclusions, reports Politico. Barr couldn't release the full thing immediately because it contained protected grand jury information, according to a DOJ statement. The plan all along has been to release a redacted version of the full report, says the statement. Barr promises to deliver that within the next two weeks, while Democrats in Congress continue to demand the full, unredacted report immediately. "Just show us the Mueller report, that’s all," Nancy Pelosi said Thursday. (More Mueller report stories.)
