President Trump is claiming exoneration in the wake of the attorney general's summary of the Robert Mueller report. Democrats are saying not so fast. Rep. Jerrold Nadler of New York, chairman of the powerful House Judiciary Committee, tweeted that he wants Attorney General William Barr to testify before his panel to resolve what Nadler views as "very concerning discrepancies and final decision-making at the Justice Department," reports the Hill. Nadler notes that Barr quoted Mueller as writing: "While this report does not conclude that the president committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him.” With that the case, Nadler wants to know why Barr himself already has decided not to bring an obstruction-of-justice charge against the president. (In his letter, Barr said he had concluded the evidence was "not sufficient.") Related:
