A week after receiving a call from President Trump, Jay Barrett died a happy man. The terminally ill cystic fibrosis patient from Connecticut died in his sleep overnight Tuesday, according to his sister, who'd arranged his dying wish. "I think he literally lived his best time in that last week," Bridgette Hoskie tells the New Haven Register. "That phone call meant everything to him," she adds, per USA Today.

Barrett, 44, not only chatted with the president, who sent an autographed hat and 2016 campaign jacket, but also with his son, Eric Trump. But his last words weren't about the Trumps. Per the Register, Hoskie says Barrett ranted about the New York Giants trading Odell Beckham Jr., then "went to sleep and decided he was going to take his fight to heaven with his dad."
