A drone being used in the search for a missing dog ran into trouble Saturday in the form of a bullet. Police say Gerard Chasteen, 26, of Long Island, fired three shots from his yard to bring down the device as it was flying over his house. Missing Angels-Long Island had been using it to look for a dog that had jumped a fence at her new home soon after being adopted; members of the group tracked it down after it stopped working. Chasteen was arrested and charged with third-degree criminal mischief and prohibited use of a weapon, NBC New York reports. As for the pup, she was found Sunday, CBS New York reports. Missing Angels says Chasteen's family apologized and said Chasteen didn't realize the drone was looking for a dog. "I think he felt threatened," says the dog's former foster dad.
