Tennis fans will appreciate the final scoring line: 7-6 (6), 6-7 (5), 6-7 (9), 6-4, 26-24. It adds up to the longest semifinal in Wimbledon history and the second-longest match there overall, reports ESPN. In the end, South Africa's Kevin Anderson prevailed over American John Isner in the 6-hour, 36-minute marathon on Friday. It took only 99 games, three tiebreakers, and five sets. Anderson will play either Rafael Nadal or Novak Djokovic in the final. How's this for a weird footnote: The longest match in tennis history lasted 11 hours and 5 minutes, and Isner was part of that one, too—as the victor over Nicolas Mahut in 2010.
