Outrage is mounting over the death of Lesandro "Junior" Guzman-Feliz, a 15-year-old murdered in the Bronx last week in what police believe was a case of mistaken identity. Guzman-Feliz, a member of the NYPD Explorers youth program who aspired to become a police officer, was attacked on the street by a group of suspected Trinitarios gang members Wednesday; sources tell the New York Post the teen looks like another person who was seen in and believed to have leaked a video that also shows a 15-year-old girl, believed to be a relative of a Trinitarios member, having sex in the background. Eight men have been connected in connection to the murder, CBS News reports (including one who, the Post says, was caught thanks to his saggy pants), and disturbing surveillance footage has been unveiled showing Guzman-Feliz's final moments—in which he twice entered a store looking for help and was denied, Fox News reports.

Guzman-Feliz can first be seen running into the store looking for protection from his attackers; a worker initially resists helping him but ultimately lets him behind the counter. The attackers then enter the frame and can be seen dragging Guzman-Feliz outside, where he was brutally hacked with a machete. He can be seen re-entering the store, bleeding and badly injured, but as he slumps over the counter the worker refuses to help him and a customer can be seen gesturing for the teen to leave the store. After Guzman-Feliz goes back outside, where he died, the customer reaches over the blood on the counter to complete a transaction and the worker can be seen making a phone call. Mourners have been gathering in the street outside the store, which has been closed since the murder, and the hashtag #justiceforjunior is spreading on social media, where many expressed anger over what happened to the teen. His family says the gang has admitted on social media it targeted the wrong person. (More murder stories.)
