Desperate crimes call for desperate measures, like waiting outside in the dark to catch an apparently on-trend poop jogger in the act. It's a move that paid off for an Australian man who tired of a jogger pooping on a footpath in his Brisbane neighborhood up to 30 times in one year, per The fed-up resident managed to snap a photo of the alleged culprit with his pants down and a wad of toilet paper in his hand, an image shared widely now that 64-year-old Andrew Macintosh has been charged with public nuisance, reports Mashable. That's just one way his life has fallen into the toilet, so to speak. Identified by the Courier-Mail as an executive for retirement village operator Aveo, Macintosh has also resigned, per the Guardian.

In a statement, Aveo says it was "distressed and disappointed at the alleged incidents concerning Mr. Macintosh," who has "tendered his resignation." "It's like they're wiping themselves clean of me," a parody Twitter account, @poojogger, responded Thursday after describing a morning run as "very chilly but I pushed through it." Macintosh is also a member of a Brisbane City Council advisory board, per the Sydney Morning Herald, though it's not clear if he'll retain that post. He's just the latest person to be accused of public defecation recently. Currently, police in Toronto are investigating reports that a man has pooped at least six times in people's gardens, per the Toronto Sun. (The US has its own "Mad Pooper.")
