Police in Denver say an Uber driver fatally shot his passenger—while they were driving on a local interstate. Michael A. Hancock, 29, has been arrested for investigation of first-degree murder, reports CBS Denver. Police say Hancock and his unidentified male passenger got into some kind of a dispute about 2:45am while on Interstate 25, during which Hancock crashed his vehicle into a concrete barrier on the side of the highway. At that point, another motorist stopped and ended up calling 911.

"The male caller said there was a guy, an Uber driver, who said his ride tried to attack him and the driver shot him," says a police probable-cause statement cited by the Denver Post. Police found the passenger slumped in the vehicle, and he was later pronounced dead at a hospital. Officers found 10 spent casings at the scene and confiscated a handgun from Hancock, who declined to talk to police without his attorney. (Read more Uber stories.)
