Forty-two percent of constituents approve of the way President Trump is doing his job—the highest share since day 100 of his presidency, which was 11 months ago, CNN reports. Though all other modern-era presidents have had higher approval ratings at this stage of presidency, Trump is only behind Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama by 4 points. His approval rating is strongest on economic issues; 48% approve of the way he's handling those and 45% disapprove—the only area in which his approval rating is higher than his disapproval rating. Overall, 54% disapprove of how he's doing his job. A few other comparisons:

  • Trade: 38% approve, 50% disapprove
  • Foreign affairs: 39% approve, 53% disapprove
  • Gun policy: 36% approve, 54% disapprove
