A 25-year-old Florida middle school teacher is in the news following a HuffPost report published Saturday that linked her to a podcast it alleged she hosted under the name "Tiana Dalichov" that espoused white nationalist views. The teacher in question, Dayanna Volitich, has been removed from her classroom at Crystal River Middle School in Crystal River pending an investigation. NBC News specifies that she remains a teacher with the school. HuffPost reports that after it did some digging on Friday, the "Unapologetic" podcast was wiped from the web. But HuffPost downloaded the most recent one, which ran last Monday. It summarizes one exchange in which Dalichov's guest, white nationalist Lana Lokteff, suggests it's ludicrous to think "a kid from Nigeria and a kid who came from Sweden" have the same IQ.

HuffPost describes Dalichov as "enthusiastically" agreeing, claiming "science" has confirmed some races have superior IQs, and it reports she also claimed to have shared her ideology with her students and lied about doing so when confronted by administrators. It goes on to outline similarities between what it could find online about Dalichov—her age, hometown, and general teaching history—and Volitich. NBC News reports a lawyer for Volitich did indeed confirm the women are one and the same, but through the lawyer, Volitich said the podcast was a work of "political satire and exaggeration" and that Dalichov's views "do not pervade my professional career."
