Mark Ellis had four hits, including the tying triple in the ninth, then scored the go-ahead run in the Oakland Athletics' 6-3 win over the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday night. Ellis went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases and an RBI. Oakland closer Huston Street pitched around a single and a walk in the ninth for his second save.
Jeremy Accardo (0-2) blew his first save in four chances, hitting Travis Buck to begin the ninth, then giving up a triple to Ellis. Daric Barton struck out and Jack Cust was walked intentionally to bring up Emil Brown, who hit a grounder to third. Scutaro went to the plate, but his throw sailed high and wide, allowing Ellis to score. (More baseball stories.)
