Would you like the latest George Saunders book medium rare or well done? That may sound like a strange request, but no stranger than what's been going on since January at an Ohio library. Per Cleveland.com, staff at Avon Lake's book lender have been scratching their heads trying to figure out who has scattered 30 empty A1 steak sauce bottles around the place over the past two months, with no clues offered from surveillance tapes. Most of the bottles have turned up in the adult fiction and non-fiction sections, per People.

"We're stumped," a library spokeswoman tells the magazine, noting they've pretty much ruled out youth pranksters, as the bottles appear to be left during school hours. A library manager wonders to Cleveland.com if this is some kind of fourth-dimensional chess match: "Is it a game that we don't know how to play or are we messing up someone's game?" (Usually libraries just have to deal with overdue books—even century-old ones.)
