Whoops: Deer Not as Dead as Motorist Thought

A 59-year-old Wisconsin man hit a deer with his car last week and put it in his trunk, thinking he'd soon be enjoying some venison for dinner. Instead, he was surprised to hear the deer moving around when he got home, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. He called the sheriff's department, and a deputy came out, catching the scene on camera as the man carefully opened the trunk and helped the deer out. It ran off into the woods, and the Adams County Sheriff's Department posted the video on Facebook the next morning along with the hashtags #DeerPlayingPossum and #ThanksForTheRide.
