Amid the early fireworks of Sunday night's debate, Donald Trump promised to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Hillary Clinton's email if he were elected president. "I am going to instruct my Attorney General to get a special prosecutor to look into your situation, because there has never been so many lies, so much deception, there has never been anything like it, and we're going to have a special prosecutor," he said, per ABC News. Clinton did not directly respond to the threat but said everything Trump said was "absolutely false." When she said it was a good thing Trump wasn't in charge of US laws, he retorted, "Because you'd be in jail," reports the New York Times. (More Donald Trump stories.)
