Don’t have the time or resources to embark on a full-blown vacation this summer? You’re not alone: Some two-thirds of Americans are opting to keep it local this year. But you don’t have to be housebound. A “staycation” could satisfy your itch to hit the road. But staycation options all depend on where you live. Wallethub looked at 28 metrics, such as opportunities for recreation, dining and entertainment, and relaxation, as well as cost, to identify the best, and worst, cities for staycations.

Five best staycation cities

  1. Orlando, Fla.
  2. Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
  3. Tampa, Fla.
  4. Salt Lake City, Utah
  5. Scottsdale, Ariz.

Five worst staycation cities
  1. Chula Vista, Calif.
  2. Oxnard, Calif.
