What a waste of perfectly good beef. Authorities in Longview, Texas, say they tried to pull over a suspect accused of stealing steaks from a local Walmart on Wednesday, but the man kept on trucking, hitting speeds of 100mph as he fled through two counties, per the New York Daily News. An officer in pursuit says steaks were "flying out the windows, and one of them bounced off my patrol car. That's not something you think of people stealing, especially running from the police in the process." The unnamed suspect—whom KLTV is calling the "beef bandit"—eventually stopped and was arrested without incident. (More weird crimes stories.)
