When you really want a cigarette, a locked door apparently won’t stand in your way. Police say a New Mexico man arrived at a 24-hour convenience store in Las Cruces around 3:30am Sunday to buy a pack of cigarettes, per the Las Cruces Sun-News. After pounding on the locked door for a while, 24-year-old Ellis Battista apparently realized the store was closed and broke through the door, causing $800 in damage, police say. Once inside, Battista allegedly grabbed a pack of cigarettes and made sure security cameras caught him leaving $6 in its place. He was charged with breaking and entering, reports the AP.
