Rand Paul rejected a place in the GOP undercard debate Thursday night after failing to make the cut for the main stage but he still had fans in the audience: Moderator Neil Cavuto had to pause during a question as audience members started chanting "We want Rand," reports the Hill, which notes that Paul has been on a media blitz over the last couple of days that reached more TV viewers than the undercard debate did. ABC reports that Paul spent Thursday night at Twitter headquarters taking questions on subjects like the NRA and border security under the hashtag #RandRally, which trended nationally while the main GOP debate was underway.
