A cooking contestant found herself at the business end of a piping-hot piece of brisket when things got out of control at the Kentucky State BBQ Festival on Sunday. Police say 42-year-old Mike Owings threw a 200- to 250-degree piece of beef at Mary Berry during an argument over a shared cooker. Berry says she was hit in the head, neck, and shoulder by the brisket. Owings allegedly confessed to the beef bombing, telling police he lost his temper but "didn't mean for anyone to get hurt." Owings is facing a charge of wanton endangerment. (More weird crimes stories.)
