David Sweat has been released from the Albany Medical Center and returned to prison in New York state for the first time in a month, reports CNN, albeit not the Clinton Correctional Facility from which he escaped with fellow convict Richard Matt. Sweat was released at 3am this morning and taken to the Five Points Correctional Facility in Romulus, western New York, where he'll initially be housed in an infirmary unit before being transferred to a 23-hour confinement unit. Five Points, notes the AP, is a maximum security prison. The New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision wouldn't comment on how Sweat was transported the 200 miles to Five Points, notes CNN. (More David Sweat stories.)
