Jeralean Talley managed to reign as the world's oldest person for a little more than two months. But the 116-year-old Michigan woman died yesterday at home, "just where she wanted to be," her daughter tells AP. Talley's death means that Susannah Jones of Brooklyn now gets the oldest-person honor in the eyes of the Gerontology Research Group. Jones turns 116 next month. She is the fourth different "oldest person" since April, following two other recent deaths. (A 110-year-old man in Nebraska credits his daily can of beer for his longevity.)
