T-Shirt Irony Isn't Shooting Suspect's Strong Suit
Not the shirt you want to wear if you're wanted for a crime.   (Amazon)

A 26-year-old Alabama man joins this guy in the "Attire That Crime Suspects Should Avoid" category after police arrested him Tuesday for alleged involvement in a shooting over the weekend in Benton, per the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. Cops tracked Tieren Watson down at a local chain hotel, and his T-shirt didn't help his case: It was a Nike T-shirt—just like this one, but in black—that read "YOU CAN RUN, BUT YOU CAN'T HIDE" (all-caps emphasis Nike's, not ours).

"That's what it said, and that's what he was wearing," a Benton Police Department spokesman matter-of-factly told the newspaper. He added Watson's clothing choice was ironic, "to say the least." Watson was arrested on charges of first-degree battery, aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a minor (two young people were apparently at the crime scene when shots were fired), and possession of a firearm in the shooting, which seriously injured a woman. (More weird crimes stories.)
