The problems are multiplying for the Texas veterinarian who boasted about killing a cat with a bow and arrow. Dr. Kristen Lindsey has already lost her job at a clinic in Brenham and she's now being investigated by the Texas State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners, according to KBTX. The board—which issues licenses—declined to confirm the investigation to KBTX, but the American Veterinary Medical Association says the probe is taking place and that it is "shocked and appalled" by the apparent violation of the veterinarian's oath to ensure the "protection of animal health and welfare, the prevention and relief of animal suffering." A board spokesperson tells the Huffington Post that the incident last week is being taken "very seriously," but she doesn't want to say whether the vet will lose her license.

Lindsey will also be interviewed by police this week, according to the Austin County Sheriff's Office, which has used its Facebook page to call for patience amid the "fervor" surrounding the case; it says it won't be "posting on any social media what steps have been taken in the investigation." Meanwhile, the Inquisitr surfaces a blog with a single 2011 entry that was allegedly written by Lindsey. The blog's profile describes her as in her "3rd year at vet school at Colorado State University"—which is indeed her alma mater—and contains this line under interests: "Current interests: Living my days to the fullest, finding the meaning of happiness, killing things or trying to kill things (animals, a full glass of whiskey, hangovers, etc)..."
